Paragliding school

Within JPK Kriška gora there is a paragliding school, which provides quality training according to individual wishes. We provide six levels of training - from trial courses, to beginner, advanced, term flight course, XC flights course and tandem pilot training.

Trial course

Information day
approx 4 hours

The trial course or information day is held at the landing area in Senično, where as participants you get acquainted with the basics of flying and paragliding equipment. Since we also give you the opportunity for a practical attempt to lift a parachute on the school field, have suitable clothing and footwear with you.

Beginner's course

Paraglider pilot
approx 25 - 30 hours
  • Possibility to rent equipment
  • Flying up to 150 m high
  • Group course
Training for beginners takes place on school grounds or training grounds in Slovenia. The course includes a practical and theoretical part. The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about safe take-off, paragliding guidance and safe landing.

Advanced course

Paraglider pilot
at least 50 flights
  • Possibility to rent equipment
  • Obtaining a license
  • Group course
Advanced course follows the introductory course. The aim of the course is to pass the paragliding pilot exam and obtain a license. We deepen your theoretical knowledge and perform 50 altitude flights from at least 5 different take-offs throughout Slovenia. It is recommended to use your own equipment, but it is not mandatory.

Thermal flying course

In the JPK Kriška gora club, we organize courses even after you have already obtained a license for an independent paraglider pilot. During the course, our instructors will train you for a sovereign pilot in thermal flying. The courses are held at several nearby airfields (Krvavec, Ambrož pod Krvavcem, Gozd, Kriška gora,…).

Guided XC flights

Guided XC overflights by course participants with our experienced instructors take place in the Karavanke and Julian Alps. Learn all the stages required of a paraglider for a successful flight - from planning, to preparation and finally to the execution of the flight itself.

Training of tandem paraglider pilots

In the training for a tandem paraglider pilot, 50 altitude flights with the prescribed training program are performed under the guidance of our instructors. The aim of the course is to prepare future tandem pilots to get the license.
