The Gozd take-off is one of the best maintained take-offs in Slovenia. Due to local weather conditions, it is one of the most volatile take-offs in Slovenia. It is located at an altitude of 926 m and is easily accessible (5 minutes walk from the parking lot). The take-off is very suitable for paragliding training. It enables experienced pilots to sail in thermals for several hours in the near and far surroundings. They record many flights, from 20 to 250 km.
Due to the proximity of the Jože Pučnik International Airport, Ljubljana flying is limited to 300 m above the ground, but to the east, north and west you can fly at an altitude of 2900 m.
